nothing's happened yet... i'm usually buying just silly old things like camera lens' :-) but what facebook are doing with beacon... well, actually... i don't object to beacon at all... the principle of it saying that all sites an share info is not against my principles at all... its the *way* facebook is going about it... default optted in unless you opt out... and optting out is quite difficult... its deceptive, and against the trust of their user base... and without their user base, they are nothing... its nothing more than an online message board / forum site... absolutely nothing more... and guess what they are going to be after they have abused their users trusts... (as they are doing now!) an empty online forum/blog mixture website! suckerborg has sold out... he did a long time ago... but now he has gone far enough for people to start playing an active rebellious role against "malware facebook"!

intresting idea... facebook being the fridge... i think social network is a fridge... but as of today, i have "realised" that facebook is pure malware... its a fridge all right, but its not "your fridge" ... you only think its yours! you keep it on your house, but then, before you know it... its been moved outside your house for all to see the messages on it... suckerborg is one hellofa dodgy guy... moving the goal posts all the time... you think you turn off all your public feeds, and then suddenly... like a "beacon", you're out in full view again! i don't want my ebay purchases published on facebook... so the idea of facebook as a fridge... it certainly is... but don't mistake it to be "your fridge"!

You do of course have the actual Facebook Fridge application too.
I like the concept you're expressing.

"MySpace of 2007"? Completely. Only, nicer looking, easier to use, and more actually useful.

i think this sorta proves my theory that The Facebook is the MySpace of 2007. as much as people try to prove that they are totally different, the similarities shine through. and there will be a new fridge door many will say is newer, better, hipper, shinier next year.
