would get that some things can cause paradigm shifts if you don’t always try to relate them to something you already know. aka, social networking can open new ways doing things, connecting, achieving, giving - and we should not always relate it to our current concept of connecting, achieving, giving etc.
Ringlerun - totally with you on the need to approach social media with eyes that see the possibilities, not just adapting existing strategies to solve problems. Visual metaphors can be problematic for that very reason, people take them so literally that all people focus on is the polish (not to be confused with focusing on the Polish)
