275 Bites

Over the next month or so 275 geeks thrillseekers blogaholics individuals will be tackling the question “Why don’t people get it?” - the theme for the Age of Conversation sequel organised by Gavin Heaton & Drew McClellan.

I put my hand up to author a chapter of this collaborative book. Maybe I’ll write about Enterprise 2.0. Or shifting information paradigms. Or another story about the birthday cake ritual. What do you wish people would “get” in this wonderful webby world?

Hi WonderWebby, it’ll be fun to learn more from you about Enterprise 2.0. That’s not my strong point…

Thanks for posting the 275 Bites!

i wish people (includes me :) would get that some things can cause paradigm shifts if you don’t always try to relate them to something you already know. aka, social networking can open new ways doing things, connecting, achieving, giving - and we should not always relate it to our current concept of connecting, achieving, giving etc.

Ringlerun - totally with you on the need to approach social media with eyes that see the possibilities, not just adapting existing strategies to solve problems. Visual metaphors can be problematic for that very reason, people take them so literally that all people focus on is the polish (not to be confused with focusing on the Polish)
